Maria Silvester

Candidate for Executive Vice President

I’m Maria Silvester, current Vice President of C&T and a proud union member for the past eight years. As a Contracting Officer with a $100 million warrant, I bring experience in negotiation, accountability, and results. I’ve successfully mediated grievances and stood up for members when it mattered most. I regularly fight for justice by attending rallies and marches in support of “We the People”.

Norvel Brown Sr.

Candidate for President

I’m Norvel Brown Sr., an Executive Agent in the Clothing and Textile Major Supply Chain and a proud retired senior non-commissioned officer of the United States Air Force. I’ve spent my career standing up for others—most recently as a proven EEO advisor, successfully advocating for 11 DLA Troop Support employees to nullify unjustified supervisor aggression/bulling. When management mishandled a sexual harassment complaint, I acted swiftly to protect the employee and ensure accountability.

Sally Schuster

Candidate for Trustee

I'm Sally Schuster, Chemist at the Product Test Center (Building 5D) for the past 20 years and proud union member for approximately 10 years. Why not all 20 years? That member explained our rights and helped us hold that management team accountable for following rules properly, putting future managers on notice. From that moment on, I have been a member of AFGE Local 62. Since then, I have encouraged everyone I know to join the union & visit the union when they have concerns. Due to serious concerns of management retaliating, I had to remain on the sidelines in union participation.
